The Family

Chundukwa Horse has a large extended family that include rescued donkeys and goats, Bantum chickens and their baby chicks. Our dogs Masala, Diesel and Mischief will certainly be there to play with the kids and welcome you back from your ride. Large herds of elephants with their young often take refuge on our property during the dry season.

Horses

Our stable yard is 33 horses strong, so we have horses to suit all levels of riding. Most of the horses are Thoroughbreds originating off the race-track. After they have been fully rehabilitated Doug ascertains if they are more suited for trails or Polo Crosse and then trains them accordingly. Our babies are backed at 2 years and then put out in the herd until they are three and are mature enough to be ridden.
